Lock Every Door by Riley Sager

Lock Every Door by Riley Sager is one of those keep you up at night quick reads.  It is set in Manhattan in a fictional building named the Bartholomew, a building steep in history with a dark past.  Jules is a young lady who is down on her luck and has just been hired as an apartment sitter in this strange building.  There are a few rules which include that Jules must stay every night in her apartment and no visitors.  In return, Jules is promised a thousand dollars every week for her twelve week stay.  This is a lot of money for someone like her.  She quickly finds out, however, that if it sounds too good to be true, it just might be.
