The Blinds by Adam Sternbergh

Imagine a chance to start over.  Memory wiped.  New name.  That's what the resident of the Blinds get, a fresh start.  People can enter the program if they have committed a crime or if they witnessed a crime.  Once you enter the blinds residents don't know into which category they fall. For 8 years this program has worked well until some deaths begin to occur.  Now there are outsiders who have entered the community to try and bring order to the group.

This was a fun mystery (non-thriller) type read.  I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a book to read with a different premise and a slight mystery.
